A home at 251 Valley Road in Buckhead’s Tuxedo Park neighborhood quietly sold last week for $18.1 million. The home was constructed in 2016 and has never been publicly listed for sale. According to county records, the home sits on 3 acres and has 15,858 square feet of living space.
The buyer and seller were both corporate entities used to protect the privacy of the individuals involved. 251 Valley Road is now the highest sale price for a home in Atlanta history. The previous titleholder was Tyler Perry’s home, just two miles away, that sold for $17.5 million in 2016. That home later resold to Steve Harvey in 2020 for $15 million.
At $18.1 million, this sale is a capstone to a year of record prices in Buckhead’s luxury real estate market. More homes above $5 million will change hands this year than any other prior year and demand remains strong, especially for newer homes that do not require renovations. Put simply, buyers are willing to pay to get exactly what they want.
