On Thursday, September 20, The Stave Works hosted the Taste of Buckhead event, complete with red carpet, VIP areas, and live music. A foodie’s delight, there were small plates and samples from many of Buckhead’s most esteemed and beloved restaurants. Who’s who of Buckhead mingled between the aisles as Red Clay played at one far end of the cool industrial space. I made my way through the crowd and happened upon someone in a moose costume dancing to the beat and striking a pose for the camera.

Samples of beer, wine, tequila, vodka, and gin eased conversations as guests made new friends or ran into old ones. Restauranteurs and chefs had the opportunity to meet and discuss business and try each others’ dishes. In the middle of the room, an artist with an easel made paintings live as the party pulsed around her, advertising Painting With A Twist. Vendors presented their wares, both accessories like jewelry and prepared foods like Grits Bits, a grits based cookie company.

A photo booth in the main hall printed portraits on magnets as a take-away, while down the hall in the VIP section an Instagram-worthy floral backdrop was the perfect place for selfies. The VIP lounge, presented by Mercedes Benz, offered more food and drinks, a bar, a large square of astroturf, mod lounge seating, and funky lighting.

There were plenty of good vibes, good eats, and good drinks to go around at this year’s Taste of Buckhead event. Check out some of our photos from the evening below!
