Ready your sweet tooth Buckhead, Candytopia is coming to town. This extraordinary art installation is an Instagrammer’s dream, with multiple rooms of colorful scenes made out of millions of pieces of candy. Interactive backdrops and a marshmallow pit make for perfect photo ops while the walls showcase recreations of classic art masterpieces and pop art references.
This traveling pop-up exhibition is curated by Candy Queen Jackie Sorkin who runs the business with partner John Goodman, the extravagant and larger than life idea is then brought to life by master fabricator Zac Hortog.
Lasting for only 3 months, the exhibition has already popped up in Santa Monica, San Francisco, and New York City since its inception last year. Candytopia announced that it has chosen Space 225 Lenox Marketplace in Buckhead for its fourth stop on its tour, followed by Minneapolis- St. Paul in March.
Whimsy abounds in the art installations that feature flying pigs, unicorns, and underwater creatures. Fun for kids and adults alike, visitors snack on samples as they make their way through this confectionary dreamscape. Tickets are $34 each and will be available online closer to their projected opening in February of 2019, you can sign up to receive updates on their website.
