At A Glance

Argonne Forest is an evolving 1950s-era neighborhood developed on the grounds of a 100+ acre estate home on West Paces Ferry Road. Large lots, beautiful homes, a desirable location close to the Governor’s mansion, top-rated public and private schools, and popular shopping and entertainment destinations have enabled this community to maintain its prominence over the years.

The geographic area is tiny, home to less than 600 residents. The demographic is typically professional couples with growing families and retired lifelong Atlantans. It’s not uncommon to see joggers, dog walkers and parents pushing strollers along the beautiful wooded streets on a warm evening. It’s a social neighborhood with carpool groups, community holiday activities and a women’s book club. Many parents are active in fundraising and volunteer at the school.

Well over half of the original ranch-style homes have either been altered and expanded over the years, or completely rebuilt into two-story, classically designed houses. There is still plenty of opportunity here for buyers interested in renovating to make a classic Buckhead home their own.

Buckhead’s Argonne Forest neighborhood borders West Paces Ferry Road so it’s just a few short blocks from the Peachtree Road intersection. This is where Whole Foods, the St Regis Hotel and many of Buckhead’s popular boutiques and restaurants are located. The luxury retail district, Buckhead Atlanta, is right around the corner. Head north about a mile to visit Phipps Plaza and Lenox Square.

Neighbors love the peaceful streets, and the close proximity to the busiest Buckhead areas. In addition to the Brandon public school district, private schools including Atlanta International School, Christ the King School, Pace Academy, Lovett School and Westminster School are minutes away.
