The Peachtree Heights East neighborhood proudly boasts its own natural treasure, Duck Pond Park. One of the most serene, natural environments in Atlanta, the park is set on nearly 7.5 acres of green space and rolling terrain. It was created over a century ago as the heart of the Peachtree Heights East and is now home to more than 40 species of birds. Ducks from Bobby Jones Golf Course regularly fly over to the park for lunch.
Beyond Peachtree Heights East and within a half-mile radius of the Park, numerous schools, shops, and churches support the residential community. Hundreds of residential homes in Garden Hills, Peachtree Hills, and Peachtree Heights West and households in high-rise apartments and multi-family developments along Peachtree Road are also within a 10-minute walk of the Park.
As you’ll notice, Duck Pond is aptly named.
Garden Hills and Rivers Elementary schools, the Atlanta International School, the Cathedral of St. Philip, and Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church are all nearby.
