Little Nancy Creek is a beautiful wooded park along Nancy Creek near Brookhaven. LNCP is a small neighborhood park, but here are a lot of amenities within its 5 acres!
The park was founded in 2007 by Friends of Little Nancy Creek Park and Park Pride. The large playground is probably the first thing you’ll notice. This professionally designed modern playground contains multiple play structures for kids of all ages. You’ll find swings, multi-level play structures, merry-go-rounds, and even a zip line!
A well-maintained .25mile trail circles the park and crosses the creek on two bridges. Along the trail you will find the bench swing overlook. The comfortable bench swings offer visitors a quiet, elevated view of the park. There is a multi-station fitness area along the trail at the back of the park.
The park has two covered pavilions with picnic tables. The pavilions are available on a first come, first serve basis, or you may reserve them in advance through the City of Atlanta Parks and Recreation.
You will find the community garden along Peachtree Dunwoody Road next to one of the park pavilions. The plots are spoken for, but there is a waiting list. Contact Bonnie Copeland at btcopeland@mindspring.com for garden information.
